Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 021 stihl chainsaw, zama carburetors, stihl chainsaw

Question
i asked ben but has never repaired a stihl. i took carb to pieces and put back twice. now motor floods , even crankcase gets wet and sparkplug is wet. I screwed l jet in then 1/2 turn out and h jet in and 1/2 turn out too and new spark plug started up . but next day after refueling couldnt start as motor wet again. What is the 2nd tube that ends up lodged in the jet encased rubbers?  tank vent? is the impulse from crankcase?  regards Rob

Answer
Hello Ron:

>>The Carburetor Metering Valve Actuator is Set too Low and is Allowing the Metering Valve to Stay Open too Long which Allows too Much Fuel into the Cylinder and the Excess is either Blown Out the Carburetor Throat or Soaks the Spark Plug so Much the Engine will Not Start.
>>You can Get Technical Information on Zama Carburetors at this Site Addy; http://www.zamacarb.com/tips.html and Select the Technical Guide. This Guide will Work Well for Walbro and Other Trimmer and Chainsaw Carburetors.
