Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray/Tecumseh Drive Wont Engage, tecumseh engine, snow blower

Question
I have a 24 inch Murray snow blower with a 5hp Tecumseh engine.  After using it last night, I went out to clean up the drifts, and found a large pool of oil under the machine.  The engine started fine and the auger works, but the drive won't engage.  The wheels are seized - won't spin at all.  Any idea what the problem is based on this information?
