Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Bolens Snowblower, bolens snowblower, bottom pan

John, I have an old Bolens snowblower, Model 832 01. Today, it stopped going forward in any gear and also does not reverse. I took the bottom pan off to check the gearing and everything in there seems to be working good. Chains, gears, etc. in good shape and working fine. The problem it seems is that the gearing is turning the outside shaft of the axle. This shaft has what looks like a miniature differential welded onto it and also a slot machined for a keyway that positions and holds a gear. The keyway is good and the key is still in place.(No problem there) This shaft is turning when in gear, but the axle itself does not turn for the wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are getting dumped on right now and the driveway is way too big to shovel. Thank You....Mike
