Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JC Penny rototiller, recoil starter, rototiller

Question
John, Please help.  I have an old JC Penny rototiller model number 3010.  The motor is a Techumseh 3HP but it is missing the fan, blower cover and pull starter.  Therefore, I have no model number.  I need to replace these parts but no one has been able to assist me in the endeavor.  Could you please advise how I can proceed.  Many thanks.
Glen

Answer
Hello Glenn:

>>The Flywheel(Fan) has Magnets on it that are Set to Match the Crankshaft Throw and Correctly Time the Firing of the Plug.
>>Not knowing the Correct Model makes it Diffucult to Replace the FLywheel.
>>It May be Possible to Replace the Flywheel, Blower Cover (has the Recoil Starter in the Blower Housing) with one from another 3HP Tecumseh and use this Engine.
>>You can Replace the Engine with any 3HP - 5HP Tecumseh or Briggs Engine that has the Same Length Crankshaft and Keyway.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
