Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki FJ180V- BS04 side oil drain plug?, oil drain plug, drain plugs

Question
I have a Yard Man Mower with a Kawasaki FJ180V- BS04 engine on it. I am trying to drain the oil and the manual I found online shows an oil drain plug on the side of the engine but when I look at the spot on the mower there is no bolt or plug there, only a solid weld. Any idea where the drain plug is or how I can drain the oil?

Answer
I'm not intimately familiar with this engine, I'm guessing it's on a push mower. Many of the manufacturers started eliminating the drain plugs as a way to save money on the manufacturing process. If there is no plug on the side or bottom the only way I know of to drain it is to turn the unit on it's side with the fill tube on the bottom side and allow the oil to drain through it.
