Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): GC190 Honda Motor, question pool, honda motor

Question
This engine is being used on a log splitter - can you tell me what would cause an oil spasher/slinger to break off from the connecting rod?

Answer
Hello Pat:

>>Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool and I can Only Answer Questions from the Question Pool when I am Not Answering My Questions here or at the Other Site I Answer Questions at.
>>Usually when this Happens it is Due to Factory Defect (Slinger made from Defective Metal when the Engine was Built) or the Engine was Operated with the Oil Level Low at Some Point and the Slinger became Hot and Weakened.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
