Briggs and Stratton engine ,model 136212
type 1026 E1,
Engine starter coil broke, then recoil failed.
The 062371 was printed on the plastic parts of the recoil /cover assembly

Could I fix it myself, orsomewhere I can get exact parts to replace?

the recoil starter number is briggs recoil starter 497830
The Coil you need is Briggs & Stratton 397358 Ignition Coil For 5 HP Horizontal and Vertical, 550 Series Engines. yes you can fix this yourself. We can get the parts you need on our web site
