Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 11 HP engine, pistion, hp engine

Question
The engine on my Simplicity Broadmoor II tractor seized up and I suspect the piston and crank were damaged. The engine is out of date. Do you know if there is a replacement engine for my 1690347-6011 engine that doesn't require a great deal of modification? How hard is it to get replacement parts?

Answer
Below is a link for finding a direct replacement engine:

Part are available to rebuild your old engine but these days it is more cost effecient to replace the whole engine as you get a new carb, starter, and charging system.  I like to rebuild but machine shop labor plus all the parts you need are pretty costly considering you still have an old carb, starter, and charging system.  A quality includes over-sizing the cylinder, new pistion, connecting rod, valves and associated machine shop costs.

Can you double check the engine model number?  An old 16HP engine model number should be something like 2xxxxx-xxxx-xx.
