Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs and Stratton 11hp, briggs and stratton, murray riding lawn mower

I have a Murray riding lawn mower with 11hp Briggs and Stratton motor. When i engage the mower it dies. I have rebuilt the carb but it still continues to die when mower is engaged.

Check the safety switches there are usually 3-4 of them. 1 for the seat,1 for the breaks and 1 for the neutral switch,or for the clutch.
To check them remove the switch wires from the switch and jump the wires together. Do that for all of the switches leaving them jumped so you can eliminate those that you tested.When you find the bad switch replace the rest back the way they were and buy a new switch for the one that is bad.
