Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): john deere 425, john deere 425, kawasaki engine

tractor will run unless i pore gas in the carb it starts and runs but will not stay running. bypassed fuel filter gass is at carb when i pull fuel line.Where is fuel pump located.

Follow the fuel line from the carb to the fuel pump.  Do you have the Kawasaki engine?  If so, most of the fuel pumps they use are square shape with 3 lines.

Although this is a Briggs site most of the externally mounted fuel pumps operate the same way.
