Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding Mower Seat Kill Switch, craftsman lt1000 riding mower, continuity tester

Question
I have a Craftsman LT1000 riding mower with a seat kill switch that should shut off the engine if the rider leaves the seat, but it doesn't work.  The engine continues to run even when not seated.  I have replaced the switch, but with the same result--the engine continues to run.

Somewhere there is a short in the wire it may be pinched. Take a continuity tester and put it on the wire to see what the circuit is doing. If the circuit show a open then you do not have wiring problems.  If the circuit shows a closed then it may be pinched somewhere in the harness.
