Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray lawnmower help, murray lawnmower, center bolt

Question
Hi I have a Murry 40" rider lawnmower model# 405000X8A the drive belt broke and I don't know how to install the new drive belt back on it. Can you please help?

Answer
Hello Doug:

>>You can View a Breakdown of this Mower At this Site Addy; http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select Shop Online Parts Lookup. Select the Model Tab. Select the OEM (Murray (B&S Yard Power Products) and Enter the Model Numbers (405000X8A). Now Double Click on your Model in the Results Area. Now Select Sectional View. Now Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View.
>>The Breakdown Shows the Routing of the Belt.
>>Remember to make Sure you DO NOT have the Belt Routed so it is Dragging on Other Parts/Components of the Mower and that the Belt Guards are Located 1/4 to 1/2 Inch from the Belt Once it is in the Pulleys.
>>The Belt Guards are Designed to Keep the Belt on the Pulleys and Idlers During Operation.
>>You May have to Lower the Engine Pulley Slightly to Facilitate the Removal and Installation of the Drive Belt.
>>Remove the Engine Pulley Center Bolt and then Lower the Engine Pulley enough for Removal and Installation of the Drive Belt.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
