Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Peerless transaxle in 1999 Murray 46570X8B, peerless transaxle, transaxle

Question
Hey John,
I saw that you had a similar question, but the guy never got back to you with his model number. My transaxle appears to be dying. It losses "grip" and I have to move the pedal around to find a sweet spot where the maximal drive is obtained. I don't think its as simple as adjusting the linkage, but maybe so. The sticker with the barcode on the transaxle is worn away and all I can get from it is 205...911...0086. There is a stamping on the bottom of the unit and it is 6264P1, in addition to the blurb, "A Product of PEERLESS...". Can you tell me what the most likely model transaxle on this mower is and if there is anything I can do to service it myself? Thanks.
Ron

>>According to Murray, this Mower has a Peerless Hydrostatic 205 Series, Model 205-205-024B Transaxle.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Ground/Motion Drive Belt Requires Replacing, the Fluid is Low in the Transaxle or there is a Problem Inside the Transaxle.
>>**There are No Internal Components Available for this Transaxle. If the Belt is New and the Fluid is Correct, then
>>A New Transaxle is Required or your Local Small Engine Service Center may be Able to Repair the Internal Problem.**
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
