Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tehcumsae 3.8 hp model 536.772200, hp model, float bowl

Question
I just took the carburetor completely apart cleaned the entire thing using carb cleaner, added new fuel lines, new gaskets, float pin, and all from the rebuild kit. When I start the motor it runs for a seconds and then shuts off.

Answer
Is the hole in the float bowl nut clean?  Did you blow all the carburetor orfices/holes out with compressed air from an air compressor.

The symptom you described is almost always caused by a dirty carb/plugged.

The link below is the manual for your engine:

The site seems to be down now but should be up in a little while.

Let me know if the float bowl nut is clean.
