Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): RB-K75 carb, gasket kit, first five minutes

Question
Hello
I have an SRM210 echo brush cutter that has ran like a top but it got to where it would not run all that great such as choking it, letting it fire up, and having to jump the choke back and forth so it would stay running. This worked for some time but it got to where that would not work. So I decided to put a DIAPHRAGM/GASKET KIT. This was no problem at all, but in the process I took carb cleaner and made sure to clean every little hole on the carb. ps.. this carb had no varnish to it at all. I think I screwed up according to you by blowing it with my compressor including the PURGE BASE ASY. At this point the trimmer will crank but instantly bogs down. The exhaust port and screen is clean. The gas line with the filter on it does seem to suck and blow. I am not sure if this is normal. I thought that it should suck in through the filter and push out back into the tank through the other line. Would you have any suggestions of parts I might need to replace? I did not replace the needle and seat.
Thanks for your time,
Barry

Answer
Since I can not personally see the carb, I would say its time to replace the carb with a new carb.  If this unit came into the shop where I work that charged 75 bucks an hour, we would replace the carb if we could not get it running in the first five minutes.

the reason for this is simply economics.  lets say i remove your carb, completely disassemble it-INCLUDING removing the welch plugs, I would have close to an hour in it.  If the rebuild did not work I would still need to replace the carb, so now the customer would be charged for 1 hour labor to try to repair an old carb that didn't work, the cost of the new carb, and labor to install the carb...does this make sense?
