Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper1433 B/S engine, top fuel dragster, govenor

Question
Needle and seat was stuck, took carb off and cleaned, stopped the flow of fuel in oil and pushing it out of intake, got that fixed...BUT its like I may have put the linkages for speed/choke in wrong place or pushed govenor or something. The engine will idle up and down but its just slow reacting, and when idled up it kinda sounds like a top fuel dragster, when I idle down it doesn't really go to a low idle. Any idea what it maybe? Thanks in advance

Answer
It sounds like your governor(speed) rod is bent or the carb is out of adjustment.
Try turning the throttle limit screws and see if that will help the issue.
Try to see if everything looks in place and not rubbing or bent.
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
If you would please rate my answer, Thanks
