Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): air intake systems, briggs and stratton, hp briggs

Question
QUESTION: I cannot start my mower.  Last year same problem.  My Dad used instant starter fluid in the air intake systems.  Where will I find it?  I should have paid attention!

ANSWER: This will depend on the type of mower you have.
But you must be careful using starting fluid as it will wipe the oil off of the cylinder walls and piston rings causing a dry cylinder and scoring the rings (expensive fix)
You should find either a screw holding the airfilter cover on or some other type of method
Let me know what type of mower you have and then I'll be able to tell you more. There are just too many varieties,
Let me know what you find out and we can go from there.
If you would please rate my answer, Thanks

QUESTION: It is a Troy-Bilt Tuff-Cut 210, 21 inch cut, 6.75 HP, Briggs and Stratton.  Thanks so much for your help.

Answer
You will need to remove the air filter housing on the side of the engine.
Does this mower ahave a primer bulb you need to press to get fuel flowing into the carb?
If it does the air filter house will be located near this and wil be held by 1-2 screws.
Remove this cover and the air filter and spray just a little bit into the housing and then start the mower.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do.
