Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Power sport 6.0 Tecumseh linkage, throttle shaft, lever assembly

Question
John,
I am back again on the linkage for Tecumseh OH195XA 71228J
Emissions carburetor...choke style.
I wanted to remind you that there is no tang on my application
to hook the linkage springs up to.The other applications do have the tang which makes it easy to figure it out.I am stumped...and everyone I call is stumped also.Even tecumseh office I called and they did not know.So if they dont know....how am i going to get this done.It is a gokart engine. Also there are 2 screws with springs on them on the control bracket assembly.one is on top and one underneath it.I guess high and low speed adjustments. How do I adjust these John?I hate to keep bugging you,but out of everybody I talk to,your the only one that has the knowledge about these things. If you can do anything more on the linkage it would be great. The key to it all is that my application does not have the tang to hook the spring too like the other models do.Thankyou John, you have been so cool.
                  Respectfully,

                                  James

Answer
Hi James:

>>You can Never "Bug" me with Problems concerning Small Engines and ATV's.
>>I had to Look up you Other Posts and I See I Overlooked that this is being Used for a Go-Cart.
>>Do you have the Throttle Cable Bracket for a Go-Cart with this Engine?
>>If Yes, then
>>Attach the Throttle Cable to the Bracket and the Spring on the End of the Throttle Cable goes to the Lower Hole in the Governor Arm. **Note: The Spring should Not have ANY Tension on it when the Engine is at Idle or Not Running. The Throttle will Rest in Full Open Position when the Engine is Not Running.**
>>The Linkage from the Governor Arm to the Carburetor Throttle Shaft and Lever Assembly.
>>When the Throttle Cable is Pulled to the Fast Position, the Spring on the Throttle Cable Pulls the Governor Arm and this Moves the Carburetor Shaft and Lever Assembly and Opens the Throttle Control Valve.
>>The Carburetor Shaft and Lever Assembly has a Return Spring and with the Assistance of the Governor, the Engine Returns to Idle when the Throttle Cable is Released.
>>There are NO Tangs Required for this Type of Operating Connection.
>>If this is Not the Correct Application (use) of the Engine, then
>>Send me the Application of this Engine, Please. You may have to Purchase a Control Bracket if the Engine is Not Used on a Go-Cart.
>>Thanks.
>>Never Worry about "Bugging Me". LOL. It will Never Happen.
>>Thanks for Using All Experts.
>>As Always, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
