Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): string trimmer pushing fuel out, fuel tank cap, winter storage

Question
My old McCulloch string trimmer /32cc (CT M 32 EM) engine will blow the grommet and fuel lines out of the tank after running a few minutes throwing fuel all over. This just started this spring after winter storage. I have replaced the fuel tank cap with one from my blower, still happens. I did replace the fuel lines, filter and primer bulb last year and it ran fine.
Thanks, Dave

Hello Again David:

>>I Asked in the Shop and Called a Few People and I Think you are on the Correct Path with the Grommets.
>>The Only Times this Problem has been Observed is when the Cap Stopped Venting, the Grommets were Starting to Weaken on the Tank Side and would Not Hold to the Tank. They were too Flexable.
>>The Last Possible cause was the Grommets Not Seated Correctly.
>>Thanks for the Ratings and Comments and for using All Experts.
