Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): used the wrong oil, crankcase oil, last tank

Question
I put 2 cycle oil in my Kohler 4 cycle engine by mistake. Will this hurt the engine?

Answer
Hello Galen:

>>If you Added this Oil to the Crankcase Oil, then
>>Change the Oil ASAP. It will cause Internal Engine Damage as it thins the Regular Crankcase Oil too much.
>>If you Added this Oil to the Gas, then
>>No Worries. The Engine will Smoke until the 2 cycle Mixture is No Longer in the Gas Tank and it might Foul the Plug, but No Other Damage is Likely to Occur. I Use 2 cycle gas in my Equipment as a Last of the Season (last tank of the Season) Gas before Storage to Coat and Protect the Internal Carburetor Parts while the Equipment sets for the Off Season.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of this Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Shop Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Kohler) and Enter the Model and Spec Numbers (). Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can Select the Section of the Engine you Wish to View.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
