QUESTION: Sears M#917.2736403 B%26S 18.5 HP 31p777 0348E1 040617ZD
Sucked screw from carburetor into engine. Removed head and found two small pieces of of screw and removed them.
Cylinder did not feel scared although the head and piston were nicked up but ok.Replaced the head with new head gasket and set the valves at intake .005 exaust at .009.
Starts easy and runs very smooth although it smokes under load (when blades are engaged and full throttle).
Found oil in the tube that runs from the fill tube to the fuel pump.
New oil and filter 1 %261/2 quarts of 10w30.
What is my problem?

QUESTION: well its me again.
I have run the mower for about four hours now.
When I first start it and mow it smokes for about ten minutes and then it will stop.When I idle it down for a few minutes and then resume mowing it will start smoking and after about five minutes it will quit.It has plenty of power.There is a hose that runs from the oil filler tube to the fuel pump.The fuel pump has a small vent on it and oil will drip from it.Also the lifters have a rattle to them although they are set at the specs you gave me.
