Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Small Honda Engine Wont Start, breather vent, crankcase breather

Question
Hi,

I have a reel mower with a 4 stroke small Honda engine, I recently tipped it side way to clean it, I noticed after a few minutes that oil and gas was coming out from the carburetorair intake, upon seeing that I tipped it back right side up, now the mower wont start, any idea? I checked the spark plug and it does spark.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello Mario:

>>Sorry for the Delay. I have been Unable to Answer Questions Due to Health Issues. Thanks for Understanding.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Carburetor and Crankcase Breather/Vent has Oil in them.
>>Spray the Carburetor with Spray Carburetor Cleaner while Attempting to Start the Engine. This will Usually clear up this Problem.
>>If the Engine Smokes for more than 5 Minutes, then Remove the Crankcase Breather/Vent and Clean it.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Site Addy,
http://www.emerichsales.com/ and Select Honda in the Drop Down Under "Parts Look up" at the Left of the Page. Now Fill Out the Quick Parts Look Up Section.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
