Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): model #228511x8e lawnmower, fuel nozzle, inlet jet

Question
Haven't ran lawnmower for awhile, and after putting fresh gas, new plug, and cleaned air filter-started engine.  Iwt runs after priming only a few seconds then dies. I can restart after priming but it dies shortly after.  Checked gas line and it's clear.  It will only stay running if I hold primer partially in.  Can you help me out?

Answer
Replace the carb or disassemble it and clean it completely.  Your fuel nozzle (the pipe that allows fuel from the carb bowl into the carb) is plugged.  IT may actually be the nozzle or inlet jet.  You may be able to "pump through" it by keeping the engine running by priming for a little bit.

Also make sure you have fresh fuel in the gas tank.

Fresh fuel means from the gas pump, NOT leftover from your snow thrower!
