Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Echo PB-620 wont start, echo pb, back seat of my car

Question
Just purchased this yesterday. The shop owner fired it up and let me try it on his property. It was shut down at idle with the kill switch. I took off the blower extension tubes, loaded it in the back seat of my car and brought it home. After I ate dinner, I reassembled it, set throttle and choke, pulled the rope and... nothing, not even a sputter.

Several attempts to start the engine got the same result; it's as if there is no spark. The plug is wet, to it's getting gas.

I hate to take it back and find that I've overlooked something really basic. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Answer
Often times there are safety switches on blowers that will prevent spark if the blower tube or other part is not fully seated.  I have a hand-held Echo blower/vac and the housing switch sometimes does not fully make contact and will prevent starting.

Check to make sure everything is assembled and properly secured.  You can also remove the spark plug, then re-install the wire and ground the tip of the spark plug againt a metal engine part.  Pull the string and see if there is spark.
