Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Grasshopper mower lift problem, top menu bar, grasshopper mower

Question
QUESTION: I have a 928 d2 grasshopper mower. My problem is that when I try to use the lift to raise the deck it kills the mower right away. It doesn't kill it every time but most of the time. Thank you for your time

ANSWER: Hello Nick:

QUESTION: Thanks for the response. It is 98. Could it be the relay in the lift circuit?

Answer
Hello Again Nick:

>>Yes, it Might be the Relay.
>>You will Need to Check the Lift Circuit First. Sticking Contacts in the Relay or a Bad Wire  Connection will sometimes cause this Problem.
>>Check for Linkage Binding. I had a Mower with the Same Problem and it Turned out the Linkage was Gouging the Pivot Pin.
>>Next would be Checking the Pressure Relief of the Pump. Sometimes they will Stick and Cause this kind of Problem.
>>As Always, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
