Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): My old lawn mower, briggs and stratton, question thanks

Question
QUESTION: Hi, i have a Snapper Model 300855 rear engine mower, about a week ago i took these things off of it, the blade and blade housing and engine, i also removed all of the wires and plan to replace them. I didn't take anything out of the transmission. Since i did this a week ago, i forgot where the wires go, a diagram would be great, or just some general knowledge for the wiring would be fine. I don't know what model my engine is, Only that it is a Briggs and Stratton. It is electric start, just a button to push, no key. I know the Starter is bad because it locked up and will not budge, i was wondering if i could convert it into a pull start. By the way, i took everything off because it was very old and i wanted to give it a good cleaning and get some of the rust off. Can you help me?

ANSWER: hi luke    here is a good web site  exploded diagrams  will give a good idea of parts and positions

http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=snapper&mn=30085S+30%22+8+HP+Rear+Engine+Ride

your model sounds like a snapper 8 hp or 11 hp  30085S model

QUESTION: Thanks for the website, the diagrams really helped, but my engine was equipped with a pull-start back up, but i took it off a long time ago because i thought i didnt need it, but now i would rather put it back to a pull start than buy another starter for it, do you have any idea if i could get one from somewhere like Tractor Supply or Home Depot.

Do you think i could make a homemade pullstart, my engine still has the square bar attached to the top. Thank you again for the diagram website, very very helpful. Thanks
