Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Karcher 2400 HH pressure problem, pressure seals, seal kits

Question
Hi Paul, I have an 8 year old pressure washer that has no pressure.  I tried to remove the spill valve with the intention of applying some grease and trying to re-insert.  The spill valve is completely stuck and will not pop out.  I hooked up the water, hooked up the pressure hose, ran the motor several times but the valve is not budging.  I can see white deposits inside the cylinder and on top of the stuck valve.  Do you have any recommendations?
Thank you.

Answer
hi  greg   your unit should have a white tag  with model  and type numbers on it   you will need it when you enter web site it identifies yoour  machine

yes i would suggest you take off the 4 bolts holding the pressure head to reduction / transfer case- and see if the spill valve can be moved from the other side.    If white powdery deposits present could be siezed .

be sure to check the inlet and outlet valves as well and pistons along with hi pressure seals  and keep everything in the correct position and relationship    if all valvings and seals look worn as i suspect they will be after 8 years might pay dividends to rekit  pressure head with new valve and seal kits along with  o rings  etc  provided price is right  and parts are available    to help with this  see  web site below  this has diagrams & part #  you need  bear in mind   i not sure what costs are for parts  or versus new machine ?
