Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs & Stratton Weed trimer model #21032, briggs stratton, search box type

Question
My Uncle has a Briggs &Stratton Weed trimmer model #21032 and the cord will not move to start it. Is there a manual that shows disassembly diagrams to take it apart and see if it's binding up or is there another problem that may cause it

Answer
hi  larry
below is the web site  for parts etc

http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/manual_and_more/

in the search box  type 021032-0118-e1  and save  this file to disc

this unit is a  4 stroke weedboss
you could have a jammed rope around the pulley / pawls   or a spring that has been damaged
but remove the front boom and cover assy - you should soon see if thats the fault

but check that piston / crankshaft rotate ok  with no binding , make sure coil is not lose and not hitting flywheel

check that unit does not have damaged piston  from low or incorrect oil   it is possible  that it may have siezed

but have a look at it in conjuction with parts diagram

you can also download a owners manual

hope this helps  cheers paul
