Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Techumseh Engine Identification, shrouds, flywheel

Question
Hi,
First off, I would like to thank you for trying to answering my question! I have what I believe to be is an techumseh engine without the shrouds or identification plates.. I was just wondering if there are any parts that could tell me what model and horsepower it is. On the carb the number is 30 is stamped in the bowel and 166 is in the nut, the shaft is horizontal and it is 2 1/4 x 3/4, on the flywheel the numbers 13-0-56 are on one side, and on the other 5B is stamped, above the shaft the numbers 19-0-2 are stamped. It has an OHV cover on it, and from several pictures and research on the internet i have found, it looks very very similar to an enduro. It looks like has electic start but is missing parts. On the OHV cover there is a little tube sticking out.

Answer
There are many different engines by Techumseh made in this type. Unfortunately they made these engine for several years in many models and types.
The best thing to do is take it to your nearest Techumseh dealer to see if they can identify it. It may take them some time, so make sure you make it worth their while and buy your needed parts from them.
