Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kohler charging, cv series, model cv

thanks in advance for your help. i have a 264h wheel horse, new battery does not charge, battery light stays on. it is a 95 model cv series ,where is charging what ever located,what is the thing mounted on fly wheel cover with wires. any help?

The stator is the part mounted under the flywheel.

If you send me the engine model, spec and serial number I can look up the charging system.

Do you have a voltmeter?
