Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro GTS2 450 Push Mower, rear wheels, push mower

Question
Yesterday, I bought a Toro GTS2 450 lawn mower at a flea market for $10.00. I could not get it to crank, I checked the air filter. It had a new one in it. The oil looked new also. I took the spark plug out and it was fouled black and wet. I bought a new plug and sprayed starting fluid in first and it cranked right up. However, it seems to run a little faster then a little slower. I assume it is a carb problem. But, I've never owned a Toro before. Because I don't see very well, I don't know where the model numbers are located etc. Can you tell me where on the mower  the numbers needed to get the right info are? I don't know if it has a Briggs or Tecumseh engine or what horsepower it is. Any help with these problems, I will sincerely appreciate. Thanks in advance for your help. Stephen

Answer
Stephen:

Look on the body of the lawnmower itself,  It should be located between the rear wheels.   The symptom you describe sounds like a carb problem or an old stale fuel problem.

Good Luck!  Let me know if there is anything else i can help u with
