Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): put oil in mower, oil dipstick, kawasakie

Question
I have a Rover lawn mower i went to the server and ask what i put in mower and they gave me a mix that says 2 stoke oil...after i put it in i realised it isnt right so i emptied as much out as i could and refilled with unleaded fuel but mower wont start...what can i do?

Answer
Does you engine  have an oil dipstick or place you can check the engine oil?  If so, make sure the enigne has the correct oil and oil level.

Did you drain the carburetor?  Many newer float style carburetors are easy to drain just by loosening or removing the float bowl nut located on the bottom of the carburtor.  Many Honda and Kawasakie engines have a screw on the lower portion of the float bowl for draining the carb.

I would also recommend replacing the spark plug.  It is very likely the plug could have fouled with the two cycle gas in the engine.

Let me know if this helps.
