Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna lawn tractor, engine model type, rear fenders

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2004 21 hp Husqvarna lawn tractor that has been sitting up for a couple months. I tried to start it today after replacing the fuel filter and the hose coming from the gas tank and all it would do is roll over even chocking it and everything. I know its got to be something simple it only has 60 hrs on it and i had it serviced about 10 months ago. Please help

ANSWER: If you remove the air filter and spray starting fluid directly into the carburetor will the engine start?

If it starts with starting fluid then the problem is most likely bad fuel.

Let me know if the engine starts using the starting fluid.

QUESTION: tried the starting fluid and it would run for a second so i drained all the gas and replaced it with new fuel and i checked i have fuel at the carburetor. But it still will not crank  and stay running on its own without starting fluid

Answer
Since is will start with starting fluid you know the compression, timing, and ignition are fine.

This leaves a fuel related problem.

What is the mower model number?  The model number is located on a sticker usually placed under the seat or rear fenders.

What is the engine model, type/spec, and code/serial number?  The engine identification information is located on the engine, sometimes stamped on the engine blower shroud, valve cover or located on a sticker.  I want to check to see if the engine has a carburetor electronic anti-afterfire solenoid and a fuel pump.

Let me know the model information.
