How do I replace the clutch on my John Deere LX 172?  Thanks.

Answer
Unplug clutch.  Remove the clutch retaining bolt.  Remove the belt.  Pulley slides off but often dirt, debris and rust can cause the clutch to be really difficult to remove.  The clutch hub has a key so you can not spin or screw the clutch off the crankshaft. I've had to use a slide hammer to remove really stubbon clutches.
