Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda lawn mower 216, honda lawn, typical problem

Robert:  Typical problem.  Runs ok with choke on, but not off.
I took off the carb, cleaned the main jet, and float needle, still surges.
should I remove it and soak it over night in a cleaner, or look for a new carb?
In short is this a problem that can be fixed?  Thank you Fred

Hi Fred
 Be sure and check all jets and ports to make sure they are open. Compressed air is the best way to open them. Also check your fuel lines and cut-off valve making sure they are open as well.
Check your fuel tank as well for trash and/or blockage. Hope this helps.
