Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Carberator problem, kohler engine, model numbers

Question
i have a Gravely Professional 14G that will only run on full choke. Even then it will often stop like running out of gas. after waiting a few minutes it can be restarted but cannot mow since no power and will shut off again.

also what is the part on the side that the fuel line runs through and has an arm that extends into engine with curved arm. iS THIS A FUEL PUMP?

DAvid you ahve not told me the MAKE or the model numbers of the engine.  I am assuming your talking about the fuel pump which sounds like it may be your culprit.  CAn you email me a pic of the part you want identified, and the engine brand and model numbers... Thanks...


I think its prob a Kohler engine
