Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnflite 604, condensor, fuel cap

I have a lawnflite 604 sit on mower that is cutting out after a few minutes. I strta to cut the grass and you can hear the engine starting to slow it then dies. If I leave it for a while it will start again but then after a while it does the same thing again

Since you did not give me the MODEL, TYPE and CODE i dont know if the engine has points ignition or solid state.  

Do the following:

Loosen the fuel cap and see if mower quits...(checking fuel tank venting here)

If it quits....Do u have spark?  

If not replace the point/condensor,  or the armature

Make sure your fuel is FRESH from the pump.... is your tank clean?  Fuel line?
