how do i adjust the brakes on a 1994 john deere lx172?

brakes are normally adjusted on the transmission.  I speculate you need new brake pads if its that old.  IT will be on the right hand side of the tranny as your sitting on the seat.  Cant miss it.  Give it a quarter turn then try your brakes, another quarter turn etc... DONT OVERTIGHTEN!
