Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda EZ2200 generator, surface rust, sand paper

Hi there,
I have a Honda EZ2500 generator which have a problem starting there is no spark in spark plug I have replace the plug and still have the same result with no spark, does this mean the coil is faulty.

Most likely it has been sitting for some time? I would try taking the coil off and making sure that there is no surface rust between it and the flywheel by using some sand paper on both the flywheel and the coil and reinstall it and give that a try? Even if this works nine times out of ten you will still have to replace the coil eventually.Best of luck,
