Hi, could you please tell me the wiring instructions for an MTD 12hp 38" cut OVXL120 202008A SER 7012D

Wiring instructions are not available but there are several resources to assist with the electical system.  The link below covers up to 11 HP engines but the electic is the same on your engine.

The Briggs site below contains excellent wiring diagrams.  You Tecumseh engine contains the same components.  Often times the connectors are engine the same so MTD can install either engine in their products.

If you send me the MTD mower model number, located on a sticker under the seat or fenders, I can look up the parts list and see if it provides the wire colors.
