QuestionQUESTION: My 2005 Turf Tiger just decided not to start with the key. I have checked the voltage on the wire from the switch to the solenoid and it has 13v when unhooked from the solenoid, when hooked to the solenoid it registers nothing. I am able to start the mower and use it by jumping from the battery and touching the solenoid to engage the starter. Makes me think the solenoid is fine and the problem lies elsewhere. Any suggestions on what to test next?

AnswerI think you did check your key switch with that test. It sounds like either it's bad or the wire to or from it is bad or maybe even your grounds are loose. I'd start by going through the battery grounds and the wires, then replace the key switch if they check out okay.
