Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Echo Weed trimmer, speed needles, needle spring

Question
I have a Echo SRM 2400, 150823. Before I took the Zima carburetor apart and soaked it in carburetor cleaner it would bogg down when it was accelerrated, I did not take the gas inlet needle out to soak. After I put it back together it runs good when I leave the choke on just a little and it does not bogg down, but when I turn the choke off it dies. Do I need to adjust the low-speed and high-speed needles and if I do how should they be adjusted and which one first. THANKS

Answer
You need to take it apart again, and remove the needle/spring/
lever, and hold the carb body up to a light and look through that passage, you will likely find it mostly clogged.
Blow it out, and hold up to a light again, and visually verify that it is clear, then reassemble, and try it.

You need to be careful when adjusting the carb, if you set it too
lean, it will run real fast, but will melt the piston, so you want to set the carb on the rich side, turning the screws ccw to richen
the mix.
The one farthest from the engine is the high speed one, the one
you need to be careful with, the other you adjust for the low speed,
or idle mix, then when that is running smooth, and accelerates smothly, readjust the high, set it on the rich side of full speed.
