Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MOWER WONT START, kohler fuel pump

I've got a John deere L100 mower 17HP that isnt getting gas to the carb. Ive checked the gas filter its fine. My question is there is a round manifold the gas line from the tank goes into then splits to the carb. I dont know what this is but could it be clogged? After pulling the hose off the carb that comes from this plastic manifold there wasnt any gas coming out of it.

That's the fuel pump.  Quite often it's the fuel line that's the problem.  If there's a leak in the fuel line from the tank, you won't have any fuel pressure.  And it could be the impulse line from the pump.  Often these get oil-soaked.  The impulse line is the one from the pump to the engine.  And it could be the fuel pump itself.  I'd start by replacing the fuel lines and the impulse line and then look at the fuel pump.  Thanks, PK.
