Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): motor question, briggs stratton, speed jet

Question
I have a Four stroke 5hp Briggs&Stratton outboard that runs and Idles fine, but when I hold the throttle half way up all the way to full throttle, it surges up and down, what do you think is my high speed jet partially blocked or something? Any input would be helpful, and much appreciated Thanks Marc.

Answer
Tried looking up the engine on that, but the engine must be listed under the number on the engine.

But yes, a jet is likely clogged.  You might just remove the carb bowl nut, and if there are any small orifices in the bowl nut, clean them out and reinstall, if not, you will have to clean the passages
above the bowl nut.

Try that and see if it cures it.
