Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): SNAPPER LAWNMOWER, snapper lawnmower, bagger

I have a snapper ohv 6.5 hp that will not start.  It started briefly and made one pass through the yard.  After that I pull the crank several times and it won't start.  Can you give me some sort of direction to proceed?   Thanks.

Is you gas less than 30 days old?  Do you have spark?  

If the gas is old, drain old gas from tank with a cheap turkey baster.  Remove the carburetor bowl nut located on the bottom of the carburetor to drain the carburetor.

Re-fill with fresh gas.

Did you remove or change the bagger or dis-charge chute?
