Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Engine wont start, trouble shooting guide, hello jerry

Question
B&S 130292. This is on a tiller. Today I replaced the points, condenser and plug. Sprayed a little starting fluid, replaced the plug and pulled the cord. It started with the 2nd pull and ran for just a couple seconds. I filled the gas tank about 1/2 full and pulled the cord.

It wouldn't start. Removed the plug and sprayed more starting fluid and replaced the plug. Again it started right up and ran for a few seconds, but it wouldn't start again after that, without the starting fluid.

Clearly the fuel isn't getting through, but what would cause this?

Answer
Hello Jerry, sounds frustrating, it takes air and fuel to make an engine run. Try making adjustments to you careburetor, you should have a high, low, idle. The only problem here is that engine needs to be running when making adjustments. Get yourself a manual and look up the trouble shooting guide on why the engine will not run. Every mechanics nightmare.
