Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh carb rebuild kit, kit numbers, replacement job

There are many sites that sell rebuild kits - with all kinds of kit numbers.  Can you tell me what kit number I would be looking for for engine model 143.986716(OHV 6.75)?  I have to continue pressing the primer button when starting from cold to keep the engine running. After it finally starts running, it runs great.  When re-starting after the engine is warmed up, it starts just fine also.  Does this sound like a carb rebuild job or maybe just a primer button replacement job?
