what will cause a 17 HP Briggs to blow back through the air filter.  engine will crank and runs very weak pops and spits.  checked fuel supply and carburetor looks ok. removed the cap and looked at the key in the flywheel looks to be ok have not pulled the flywheel.  any suggestion?
