how do i remove the governor from a briggs and stratton 12.5 horse engine, i am building it up for speed and climbing.

Hi Jason, open engine up and remove governor arm that goes through the block. However you will need to leave the governor spool installed as it also is an oil slinger. You will need to close off the hole through the block as well. Obviously this will change the engines performance and longevity.
