Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kohler firing problems, spark plug wire, air gap

im working on two cyl engine i unhooked the kill wire from the electronic ign...cleaned magnets on flywheel and set air gap to 10thousands also i have replaced flywheel key..i purchased a new elec ignition module but a friend stuck it on for me and he touched a 12 volt wire to the kill term on the module..would this destroy it..i performed 3 ohm  tests number 1 between bolts on module and neg battery term and got 0 ohms..test 2 between spark plug wire and bolts on module and got no reading at all...test 3 between kill connector on module with wire unhooked and neg battery term and i got 0 ohm..

>>Connecting 12 Volts to the Kill (Grounding) Terminal Usually will Destroy the Module.
